Buckler – 30 cm

The buckler is a small round shield, 30 cm in diameter, traditionally paired with a sword or rapier. Light, easy to carry, and versatile, it was used from the Middle Ages through the Renaissance in both war and civilian combat. Sword and buckler fencing is recorded as early as the 14th-century I.33 manuscript and remained popular before evolving into rapier and dagger use.
